KODIAK, Alaska - Kodiak police are taking a dim view of two men who attempted to hunt a bear with a bow and arrow inside city limits.

Kodiak police told the Kodiak Daily Mirror (http://is.gd/gsiNXJ) that a caller reported that two men in a car were trying to shoot a bear late Thursday night near a trash bin on Woody Way Loop.

Kodiak Police Chief T.C. Kamai says officers confirmed that the two men appeared to be trying to hunt the bear. The men were warned about hunting near schools and homes.
