ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A man who stabbed his wife more than 20 times at an Anchorage hotel has been sentenced to 41 years in prison.

The Anchorage Daily News (http://is.gd/1mXebX) reports that Saliym Cureton was sentenced Monday in Anchorage Superior Court.

Judge Michael Spaan sentenced him to 40 years for attempted murder and another year for violating a restraining order.

Cureton implied that another man hurt his wife on Jan. 30, 2010, but the judge said he was confident the right person had been convicted.

Thirty-one-year-old Dorean Donovan had filed for divorce a couple of weeks before the attack, and she had sought protective orders against her husband at least four times. Donovan says she feels the sentence is not enough punishment.
