ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A contractor who had just completed delivering newspapers to Talkeetna died after his vehicle rolled.
The Anchorage Daily News reports (http://is.gd/aj9qth) the victim in the Monday morning accident was 19-year-old Zackary Green of Willow.
Alaska State Troopers say he was driving south on the Parks Highway when he briefly fell asleep and went onto the shoulder at Mile 76.8. He then overcorrected, went into the ditch on the opposite side of the highway, and then his vehicle rolled.
Troopers say he talked to emergency personnel and told them about falling asleep, but died soon after.
It wasn't immediately known if he was wearing a seat belt in the 8:48 a.m. accident.
Anchorage Daily News circulation director Roger Weinfurtner says Green started his job on Friday.
