FAIRBANKS — A home caught fire off Chena Hot Springs Road outside of any fire protection area Saturday morning.

According to Alaska State Troopers, who responded to see if the residents were accounted for, the fire was reported at 11:58 a.m. on Grange Hall Road, at about 20 Mile Chena Hot Springs Road. Because the fire was outside of any service area no fire departments responded to the fire.

Troopers confirmed the residents were accounted for, trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said.
