Hit-and-run driver critically injures pedestrian in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Anchorage police say a 26-year-old pedestrian was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night.

Police in a statement say Zachary Mohs of Anchorage was struck at about 8:15 p.m. at Tudor Road and Arctic Boulevard in midtown Anchorage.

Police spokeswoman Marlene Lammers tells KTUU-TV ( that the victim lost the lower part of his leg

Police are searching for the car in the crash. Lammers says officers are looking for a red sedan from the late 1980s or the 1990s.
