JUNEAU, Alaska - Gov. Sean Parnell has appointed an Anchorage attorney and a Fairbanks magistrate to the Superior Court bench.

Erin Marston will replace Judge Peter Michalski on the Anchorage Superior Court. Bethany Harbison will replace Judge Randy Olsen on the Fairbanks Superior Court.

Both Michalski and Olsen retired.

Marston is a partner in an Anchorage law firm who primarily practices civil litigation. Parnell's office says Marston's legal career includes serving as an assistant district attorney in Anchorage and experience in commercial litigation, criminal prosecution, family law and real estate.

Harbison is a magistrate and master in Fairbanks, who served for 10 years with the Alaska Public Defender Agency.
