Visitors check out the construction area at the Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018. The Rasmuson Foundation presented the BCDC a check for $300,000 earlier that morning, which was comprised of a $250,000 grant and an additional $1 to $1 community donation match totaling the$300,000 for the renovation of the clinic. For the past two years the BCDC been heavily involved in grant writing to raise "non program" funds to raise the money necessary to make BCDC a more relaxing, informative and engaging facility that is attractive to all patients and meets all their needs.
