FAIRBANKS — The biggest single-day festival in all of Alaska takes place Sunday, and we get to lay claim to it.

That’s when more than 30,000 visitors will take to the streets of downtown Fairbanks to eat, shop, dance, eat some more, shop some more and dance some more at the 2014 BP Midnight Sun Festival. From noon to midnight, expect downtown Fairbanks to become a mini metropolis as visitors from Interior Alaska, the state and the Lower 48 all meet to celebrate summer solstice.
