FAIRBANKS - Today is First Friday. Here is a list of some of the events scheduled around town:

• KEEPING SECRETS, featuring acrylics by Brianna Reagan and art from her word-a-day project. 5-8 p.m. S Salon and Studio, 901 Cushman St., 374-3181

• IF ONLY ... A FINE STORE, featuring Fairbanks artist Amy Noon with cards, giclees and originals and featuring the work of Pauline Lian with special edition pressed botanicals for the holiday season. 215 Cushman St 457-6659

• Salvador Dali & Red Skelton Exhibit, private collection of signed lithos, 5-8 pm, Bishops Jewelry Gallery, 1440 University Ave. 479-7001

• LOU ANDREIS, of Color Me Lou Hats and Why I Love Alaska Photography, will be showing her hats and photography at Pomegranate Resturant, 414 Second Ave. from 6-8.

Gallery 49, featuring “Plein Air,” work by Hana Esop. Artist reception 5-8 p.m., at 535 2nd Ave, Suite 103. Call 452-2787.

• Co-Op Arts Learning Center, featuring “Dancing with Aurora,” photography by Ronn Murray. 5-8 p.m., 535 2nd Ave, Suite 202. 452-2787.

• ALASKA CENTER FOR NATURAL MEDICINE, featuring artists Elizabeth Cruikshank, Jeannine Haney and Tara Jaeger. Reception 5-7 pm. 3039 Davis Road. 452-3600

• Original Art Extravaganza, with Alaskan coffee, bowls, ornaments and boxes by local artists. 5-8 p.m. The Great Alaskan Bowl Company, 4630 Old Airport Way. or 460-1658.

• FIRST FRIDAY BOOK SIGNING/ART SHOW, with authors Sparky Jones (“Raised by the Midnight Sun”) Kathleen Wallace (“Alaskan Troll Eggs”) and photos on display by Mikhala Somerfield. Del Rays, 455 Third Ave., corner of Third and Noble in Northward Building.

• Fitness Connection for Women, artists reception featuring the works of Lisa Rogers-Peter, Robin Boggs, Marla Star,Stephen Micheal Moore, Dave Blackmore, Kim Hudson and special guests. 101 College Road at corner of Illinois. 5-7 p.m.

• UAF Community and Technical College, artist reception with Kathy Toohey for her showing “New Beginnings.” 5-8 p.m. 604 Barnette St. 455.2878

• 2 Street Gallery, hosting Randall Compton signing his poster “Pink Summer.” All proceeds from the posters will go to the Breast Cancer Detection Center. 535 Second Avenue. 5-8 p.m. 455-4070.

• Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center, featuring etched glass pieces from Beverly Frey and sculptures from UAF art students. Also featuring a display titled “Un-natural Disasters,” with creative works such as a tidal wave built from 700 plastic bottles,a 10-foot tornado made of hundreds of plastic bags, an invasion of mice (50 computer mice dressed up as mice) and more unusual creations. 101 Dunkel St., 459-3730
