A pair of moose cows helped bring this bull out of cover and into the sights of Fairbanks hunter Brian Gnoffo on the evening of Sept. 17.
Gnoffo was in a tree stand at his hunting camp in the Tanana River. He didn't see the bull at first.
"A cow came running out and it kept looking back," he said. "Then a second cow came out."
This 61-inch bull followed the two cows out of the cover. Gnoffo shot the running bull with his .338.
This isn't Gnoffo's first time in the 60-inch club. He's shot three bulls greater than 60 inches in about a dozen years of moose hunting, he said.
