Marilyn Russell writes that she recently came across this limerick, which she wrote about 15 years ago while taking an art class at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Jean Lester was in the class as well and the two struck up a friendship. Russell says, "I love her artwork; she's done some of the portraits of Olde Alaskans that are featured in the old post office building between Second and Third avenues downtown."
