Wild Arts Walk

The Design Alaska Wild Arts Walk is Sunday at Creamers Field with more than 30 artists set up along the refuge trails.

Art and nature enthusiasts are invited to participate in the 13th annual Design Alaska Wild Arts Walk and spend the afternoon at Creamers Field, 1300 College Road. The art-in-the-outdoors event is noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

More than 30 local artists will be showcasing and selling art of all kinds, including paintings, birch bark creations, pottery, photography and more. The centerpiece of the Wild Arts Walk is the exciting “Quick Art” event that takes place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in which artists create works of art which are auctioned immediately afterward. Some local artists participating include Randall Compton, Tammy Holland, Harrison Carpenter and Iris Sutton.

The event is family friendly and open to the public. Admission is $5 with proceeds going to support Friends of Creamers Field’s educational programs and well as local artists.

The event is sponsored by Design Alaska, Friends of Creamers Field, Fairbanks Children’s Museum and Subway of Alaska.
