FAIRBANKS - The University of Alaska’s Museum of the North invites the public to explore the museum from behind the scenes today from noon to 4 p.m.

Patrons will have the opportunity to meet the museum’s curators, collection managers and exhibit designers in their special laboratories, while soaking in the new special exhibit “ A Gathering of Gifts: Relationships that Build our Collections.”

In true open house fashion, the museum curators have designed plenty of hands-on activities for children and families. They will also offer tours and a chance to learn about the museum’s future butterfly pavilion.

For more information contact the museum at 474-7505.
