The University of Alaska Museum of the North is exploring Animals In Art at hands-on programs during the month of September.

Families are invited to drop in with children five and under at Early Explorers on Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon. Children 6 and older are invited to Junior Curators on Sept. 28 from 2-4 p.m. These programs are included with admission and are free for members.

At Family Day: Animals in Art, from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 14, visitors can explore how animals inspire artists, see art from the collections, create their own animal artwork, and more. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.
