Pioneer Park is branching into the market scene.
The markets, called Monday Markets, are every Monday in June, July and August from noon to 8 p.m.
They are designed as a family-friendly and interactive weekly opportunity to get outside and enjoy arts, culture and food in the Alaska summer at Pioneer Park, 2300 Airport Way. They’ll feature handmade goods made by local artists, artisans and makers, as well as local food trucks.
The markets dovetail with Gazebo Nights, a summer-long series of free music and performances from 7-8 pm. nightly in the gazebo near Gold Rush Town in the park. Every Monday between 4-8 p.m., there will also be a beer garden presented by Alaska Salmon Bake for people over 21 to enjoy while listening to music in Gold Rush Town. Gazebo Nights begins Sunday.
More information and vendor registration is available at fairbanksarts.org, the entity hosting the markets and music.
