FAIRBANKS - Clucking Blossom, the annual free music and arts event created by and for the thriving Fairbanks art community, begins its fundraising season tonight. There is also an event Saturday.

No one will knock on your door or call during dinner; it’s up to individuals to get out for great music and comedy while supporting local talent.

Tonight’s event is an all-ages affair at the College Coffeehouse. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and begins with the Ground Squirrel Improv comedy troupe, which doubles as the evenings master of ceremonies. The Darndest Things f.k.a. Moonbeam Slaughterhouse are up next, followed by Work and Mourn the Pariah.

Saturday’s fundraiser is 8 p.m. at the UAF Pub with Chris Juhlin and the Collective, Feeding Frenzy, The Alt. Country Blues, DJ Tennessee Williams and a few surprises.

Admission is $5 both nights.

Call 378-0643 for more information.
