FAIRBANKS - The Fairbanks Youth Orchestra will showcase its three performance groups at the annual winter concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Davis Concert Hall.

The program begins with the youngest group of musicians called the String Orchestra under the direction of Michele Jeglum. They will be followed by the Concert Orchestra — the intermediate group — directed by Sheryl Frey. The concert concludes with a performance by the Youth Symphony, the advanced performance group, under the direction of George Rydlinski.

The symphony orchestra will perform both sacred and secular holiday music including “Greensleeves” and Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 1.”

Tickets, $5, are available at the Davis Concert Hall box office. Under 18 are free.

Call 460-7979 for more information.
