Attention Alaska playwrights: 10-minute plays wanted

FAIRBANKS - As part of their commitment to showcasing the work of Alaskan playwrights, the Fairbanks Drama Association and The Looking Glass Group Theatre invite Alaska residents to send in their best 10-minute plays to be considered for the Ninth Annual 8X10 Festival of New Alaskan Plays.

Eight 10-minute plays will be given rehearsed staged readings at the festival, which will be held April 16 and 17 at the Riverfront Theater.

Guidelines for entering scripts: Only Alaska residents only may enter. There is a limit of one author per play and one play per playwright. No musicals or children’s plays will be accepted. Five copies of the script, typed and bound, with pages numbered should be entered. A cover page with contact info should be included, along with a “Cast of Characters” page with brief character descriptions. Cast size should be no more than eight actors.

Scripts will not be returned.
