Katherine Hayhoe, Ph.D., is the Evangelical Environmental Network’s scientific adviser and a world-renowned climate scientist. She is a lead author on the National Climate Assessment under Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump. She is a sought-after speaker. She and her husband, Andrew Farley, who is a pastor, co-authored the book “A Climate for Change.” Hayhoe has been named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2014.

Hayhoe will be giving two talks in Fairbanks in this coming week. At 7 p.m. Tuesday at Friends Church, 1485 30th Ave., she will speak on “Caring for People and Creation: The Roles of Faith and Science.” At 7 p.m. Monday, in Salisbury Theater on UAF campus, she will speak on “Climate Change: From Cutting-edge Science to Innovative Solutions.” Both are open to the public.
