Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement of Alaska would like to thank MAC Federal Credit Union for their support of Junior Achievement in the Fairbanks area. With this support, Junior Achievement has expanded to reach more kids. JA classes are provided free to local schools K-12 and youth group organizations. JA teaches youth about business, economics and free enterprise through fun activities and games. Skills such as investing, saving, good decision making, understanding government structures and taxes, business plans, marketing, resume writing, job interviewing and budgeting are part of the JA programs. Donations provide the kits and resources that are used by the consultants who volunteer to teach the classes. Pictured are Dana Novak, JA consultant, and Emma Nunez, MAC officer.
