FAIRBANKS — Erharts took three of the top four spots as the Minto Winter Carnival sled dog race wrapped up Saturday afternoon.
Carl Erhart posted the fastest time of the day (45 minutes, 48 seconds) for the second straight day to claim the title with a two-day time of 94 minutes, 20 seconds.
He was the only musher in the race to complete two trips around the trail in under 100 minutes. Erhart collected $800 for his first place finish.
Mike Stephens of Fairbanks finished second, posting a time of 47:57 Saturday and 100:11 overall. He received $675 for his efforts.
Stewart Erhart captured second place by two seconds over Robert Erhart. Robert had the fastest time of the two Saturday, but came up just short of moving up to third place.
Stewart Erhart posted a 49:58 Saturday and had a 102:32 overall time, while Robert Erhart notched a 48:01 Saturday and a 1:02:34 overall. Stewart Erhart received $500 and Robert Erhart collected $375.
Rounding out the top five finishers was Jesse Holmes in 104:05, followed by Clifton Carroll in 1:04:21, Yukon Quest champion Hugh Neff in 116:19 and Fred Titus in 135:43..
All of the mushers in the race received prize money.
