Earthquake felt in Anchorage area

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A light earthquake occurred Monday morning in the Anchorage area.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the quake struck in the Cook Inlet region shortly before 8:30 a.m. and had a preliminary magnitude of 4.0. It was centered 29 miles west of Anchorage.

The quake was felt in Anchorage. There were no immediate reports of damage.
