Steve and Patty Dufseth are celebrating 30 years of marriage today. They were married at Fairbanks Lutheran Church on April 25, 1981. They met on a blind date instigated by Patty’s sister, and it was love at first sight.

Steve is a 1973 graduate of Lathrop High School and runs the family business. Patty is originally from New Jersey (yes, she came up for just a visit), graduated from Ramsey High School in New Jersey and works for the Alaska Department of Transportation.

They have raised two children, Stephanie, a hair stylist at Team Cutters, and Gordon, who will graduate next year from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a civil engineering degree.

Steve is active with the volunteer brush cutting crew at Skiland during the summer and can be found there most weekends during the winter. Patty is an avid quilter and sewer and spends time trying to train their three dachshunds, Heidi, Ginger and Tina. You might remember seeing them and Patty in the Golden Days Parade in past years.

Steve and Patty spent a week in Hawaii earlier this year and are planning a small family gathering at home to celebrate.
