Driver seriously injured in crash with moose

HOUSTON, Alaska - A 19-year-old Anchorage man was seriously injured in a Parks Highway crash with a moose.

Alaska State Troopers say Tanner Heisler just before 10 a.m. Wednesday was driving south at Mile 59 outside Houston when he struck the animal as it walked onto the highway

Heisler was alone in the car.

Heisler was flown to by emergency flight to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.
