To the editor:

I wanted to let the voters know about my experience working with Tammie Wilson. I have owned a child-care service for 20 years. I have had problems with the state licensing department off and on, and I was hearing from other child-care providers who were having similar problems. I decided it was time to do something about the situation.

Someone had told me to contact Rep. Tammie Wilson, so I and another child-care provider went to see her at her office. Tammie listened to our problems and then she contacted all child-care providers in North Pole and Fairbanks. She held a meeting with child-care providers to learn about the problems.

Once our problems were identified she arranged for the head of child-care licensing to come to Fairbanks and meet with us. The meeting was a great way to have our problems addressed. We are continuing to work with Tammie because she is trustworthy, hardworking and she does her homework. She has worked with both the providers and the state licensing office to make sure the licensing office understands our issues and how procedures affect our business.

Vote for Tammie Wilson and keep her working for us.
