FAIRBANKS - A truck is blocking the southbound lane of the Dalton Highway at 325 Mile as high winds and heavy snow continue to hinder travel north of the Brooks Range.

The blockage is at a portion of the road called Ice Cut. The northbound lane remains open.

Stormy conditions are causing problems to the south in the Atigun Pass region, between Miles 235-265. Heavy, blowing snow is limiting visibility and causing difficult driving conditions. Travel through this area is not recommended, according to the Alaska Department of Transportation. The advisory is in effect through Saturday morning.
