The September NASHRM luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in the Kiewit Room.

Our start time is 11:45 a.m. for sign-in, with the program running from 12:00-1:00 p.m. A full hour of educational instruction is required for SHRM-CP/SCP Credit. This presentation has been approved for SHRM and HRCI credits.

By going beyond #MeToo, Sandy Brewer will teach Human Resource Professionals how to identify sexual harassment, deal with the fallout of sexual harassment, and create a culture free of sexual harassment.

As a former police officer and the owner of a risk management/investigations firm, Sandra Brewer, Spokane’s first female police officer and founder of Pinnacle Investigations, has firsthand knowledge of sexual harassment and workplace discrimination. This resulted in her passion to investigate and prevent, through education, the destruction caused by these issues to corporations and individuals.

By going “Beyond #MeToo,” Sandy will share her experiences as a survivor of sexual harassment. She will equip you with expertise in workplace discrimination/harassment investigations, teaching you methods to handle workplace complaints to prevent this destructive culture from impacting you and your company.  In her 30 years as a risk management professional, Sandy has investigated over 100 discrimination, harassment and workplace violence issues and volunteers to educate corporations, schools, and government entities.  She has spoken at regional and national conferences including SHRM, NEI, and Women in Nuclear.  Men and women both have appreciated her realistic approach from an individual and corporate standpoint.  Sandra is also the subject and co-author of the book, “Behind the Badge: A Policewoman’s Ordeal.”

NASHRM will no longer be providing lunch, as such, there is no fee for NASHRM members to attend the training. Lunch can be obtained at the Café at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, or you may bring your lunch. Training will start promptly at noon. Please arrive early enough to get your lunch and be present in the training room for an on-time start.
