ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Division of Health says it will begin distributing flu vaccine to health care providers next week.

The immunizations cover both swine flu and seasonal flu in one dose.

The Anchorage Daily News reports that private providers, such as drug stores, have their own flu shot supplies this year.

The state vaccine for adults will go only to public health clinics. The vaccine for children will go to the public clinics and private providers who requested it before an August cut-off date.

State and Alaska Native health officials discussed flu shots Tuesday in Anchorage.
