Guides talk of ANWR adventures

FAIRBANKS — Enjoy a night of pictures, stories and advice from a panel of local wilderness guides from Arctic Treks, UAF Outdoor Adventures and Kaktovik Arctic Adventures as “An Evening in the Arctic Refuge: Wilderness Guides’ Perspective,” comes to the Noel Wien Library.

Presented by the Northern Alaska Environmental Center and the Fairbanks North Star Borough Library, the presentation is part of this year’s Northern Voices Speaker Series celebrating the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge’s 50th anniversary. Guides will share experiences working in America’s “last great wilderness.”

The event is Wednesday, Sept. 8, beginning at 7 p.m.
