FAIRBANKS — The federal Small Business Association is offering low-interest loans to Alaska businesses affected by serious flooding along the Taylor Highway this summer.

The SBA will help businesses with loans of as much as $2 million to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue. Gov. Sean Parnell last week requested a declaration of economic injury stemming from flooding and road closures between Chicken and Eagle.

Application forms and other loan information are available by calling 800-659-2955, e-mailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov, or going online to www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 27, 2011.
