Permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. Only one permit per household will be issued. Applicants must have a valid resident sport fishing license.
Permits allow holders to take 10 whitefish in the Chatanika River from the downstream side of the Elliott Highway bridge to ADF&G markers located at the trans-Alaska Pipeline crossing approximately 7 river miles downriver from the bridge.
The spear fishery is open Sept. 24 through Oct. 24.
