Tanana Valley State Fair exhibits due Saturday

FAIRBANKS — The deadline for Tanana Valley State Fair competitive exhibit divisions entries is Saturday.

All nonperishable entries, Adult and Junior, will be accepted between 1-6 p.m. Saturday at division locations throughout the fairgrounds. The same deadline applies to livestock and equine registration as well.

Aquatic and Terrarium Life delivery day is Aug. 4 from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Junior Perishable and all Cake Decorating entries date is Aug. 5, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Vet-in Livestock and Equine is slated for Aug. 5 from 2 to 8 p.m.

Aug. 10 is the date for Adult Perishable entries.

The Tanana State Fair dates are Aug. 6-14. Visit the fair’s website for information at http://www.tananavalleyfair.org to download the Fair Guide and for further information on all aspects of the fair including exhibit divisions, entertainment and special events.

Where do you think your burgers come from, EnviroLib? From Boca, I'm sure. But do you know how many insects are slaughtered from the pesticide used to make those things? What, are insects not Mother Earth?
