JUNEAU, Alaska - A report filed with the Federal Elections Commission on Sunday shows Sarah Palin's political action committee contributed at least $87,500 to candidates she's endorsed in the last few months.

But the financial disclosure filed by SarahPAC also shows Palin spending more than $210,000 on consulting.

Republican candidates receiving money from Palin for the period covering April 1 to June 30 include former Gov. Terry Branstad in the recent Republican gubernatorial primary in Iowa, and Joe Miller, who's challenging Alaska U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the August Republican primary. Each received $5,000.

Among Palin's other high-profile endorsements: Republican Carly Fiorina, who's running for the U.S. Senate from California, received $2,500. But Nikki Haley, who's running for governor in South Carolina and for whom Palin made a campaign appearance, got no money, according to the filings.

Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, has been mentioned as a possible contender for the 2012 presidential nomination.

She hasn't ruled out a bid. Aides have maintained that her focus is on this year's elections and on getting conservative candidates elected.

Although Palin has supported tea party favorites across the country, her endorsement of Branstad was a nod to the more mainstream candidate. If Branstad defeats his Democratic opponent this fall, he'll be a much sought-after political ally among 2012 Republican presidential hopefuls, given his state's historical role as the leadoff caucus in the nomination process.

Palin served as Alaska governor from 2007 until July 2009, when she resigned with 17 months left in her term.

Palin entered the reporting period with over $916,000 on hand. She received more than $865,800 in contributions, and ended the period with over $1 million on hand, according to the filings.

Do you mean Murdoch?

I'm aware of the South Carolina primary, and the unproven allegations that you repeat. The voters didn't seem impressed at all by Republicans tarnishing Haley. Maybe Democrats will have better luck with it. Go for it. But again, I'm not sure how that makes me the slithering one.

Bump -If you can't figure it out go to http://www.thestate.com/2010/06/01/1311825/politicos-unsure-how-bloggers.html

This was Republicans versus Republicans.

There were no Dems or Alaskan Independents or Libertarians involved.

Thanks to the 6-1-2010 S.C. Statesman and you for pointing out the truth.

Governor Palin had similar problems in the National Press: WORLD EXCLUSIVE: "SARAH PALIN'S SECRET LOVER REVEALED!" And this sordid comment was in the North Pole Checkout line in October 2008. What do the children think about these ladies! Oh the shame of it!

Now if it were a Kennedy or a Rockefeller -remember BoBo? You'd be slithering it as would the foreigner, Murdock, and his media!

“Let me get this straight. You can't decide who to give your money to, so you give it to Palin and she gives it to someone for you. And then you complain about the democrats spending all your money. “

To simply answer your question, yes. There is a tremendous difference between choosing how to spend your money, backing someone who shares your belief, compared to having your money taken from you and used to further the goals you disagree with. This is true if you are liberal or conservative.

Speaking to the “national mood”, America is slightly right of center. The fringes of the left and right speak to fellow extremists. Unfortunately our current president fails to govern based on the will of most Americans.

Tried googling "Murdock National press". Found nothing. Are they as reliable as they are well known? Is Haley supposedly "abed" with every person in the state, or just some?

Good luck with your mudslinging tactics. That ought to really impress the independent voters.

"Republican Carly Fiorina, who's running for the U.S. Senate from California, received $2,500. Nikki Haley, who's running for governor in South Carolina and for whom Palin made a campaign appearance".

Ms. Fiorina lost HP 2/3 of it's stock value in 5 years management while the rest of the market expanded exponentially, and her activity with HP's Board caused a national scandal, but a great whodunnit story. HP paid her $30 Million to disappear. The stock immediately recovered.

According to the reliable Murdock National press Ms.Haley is abed with her State.

What further endorsement shame can Palin bring to the GOP.

Oh well by the time of the election it will be hunting season. Wonder just who Sarah is hunting this year -The Almighty dollar is in her bag.

WOW Ms. BigBuck! $87,000 out of $13 Million = 1%.

Invictus- Fox News, O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh do not represent the "national mood".

People are tired of the "money comes first" repub attitude that is destroying the environment and has already sent all the manufacturing jobs overseas.

You can thank the repubs for our industrial weakness nowadays.

OBAMA, BIDEN, PELOSI, REID, HOLDER, NAPOLITANO, AND MOST OF CONGRESS, YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THE U.S.A. AND TO THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT HAVE DIED OR SERVED FOR FREEDOM AND THIS GREAT NATION.

The United States of America is a REPUBLIC, NOT a Democracy, we have a Constitution! Majority enacted law is illegal if it’s unconstitutional.

You can lead a liberal to logic but you can't make him think.

The only thing that changes are the dates and the faces of despotism. We the People must be ever vigilant in maintaining our Liberty and Freedom, at a given time, when voting and peaceful protests fail, by any means necessary.

Amazing stuff. Doubt that she will run in 2012, but she's good at picking off donkeys and building the People's House back up. Considering the lame duck status of Obama and the national mood turning against donks and liberal policies, I'd say that a Christie/Jindal ticket or Christie/Brewer ticket would easily win.
