The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Multiple charges

Carl Spear was arrested on multiple charges after reportedly driving into a house and then knocking over a light pole while driving away. He was arrested for driving under the influence, refusal to submit to sobriety tests and leaving the scene of an accident. There also were warrants out for his arrest.

Vehicle accident

A woman received a minor lower leg injury in a three-vehicle accident on College Road on Saturday. The accident was a “fender-bender” type in which an SUV stopped and the two cars trailing it collided.
