ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A rash of crashes accompanied Anchorage's first snowfall.

Police said late Monday they had responded to more than 60 accidents and dozens of other vehicles in distress. At least six of the crashes resulted in minor injuries.

The snowfall dropped one to six inches across Anchorage.

The record for the latest first measurable snow is Nov. 13, 2002, so it was almost a record-breaking year.

Yep, every year this happens with every new snow. I am not sure how many of these are first time snow and ice drivers but for the others you would think they would know better and take it easy.
