• Families with students at North Pole Middle School are invited to Parent Information Night Thursday at the school from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The guest speakers are to include Officer Zeisel of the Alaska State Troopers and his K-9 Argo, who won't do much talking.

Others include a representative of the North Pole Police Department and Tina Kocsis, a parent educator from the Resource Center for Parents and Children.

The topics for the night are to range from information on parenting adolescents to keeping students drug-free.

Additional information and brochures on parenting and drug awareness issues will be available in the cafeteria with refreshments provided by North Pole Middle School's PTSA.
