Broken Walls provides message of hope

Internationally acclaimed indigenous band Broken Walls will perform in Fairbanks Friday to raise suicide prevention and wellness awareness. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Door of Hope Church, 270 Fairhill Road.

The concert is free.

Hailing from Canada, Broken Walls is a NAMMY nominee and six-time Aboriginal Music Awards nominee. The band blends traditional and contemporary Native American music and dance with messages that promote healthy lifestyles, bring hope, restoration and unity to indigenous people throughout the world. 

After Fairbanks, the band will offer workshops and performances in five villages along the Iditarod Trail: Tanana, Galena, Unalakleet, White Mountain and Nometo.
