To the editor:

In government, as in life, I want people who can collaborate with others, not “my way or the highway” kind of people.

The Senate bipartisan coalition, with 16 brains from both sides of the aisle (led by a Republican from Kodiak), collaborates after studying issues important to Alaskans’ jobs, families and the economy. I respect 16 brains working together who decided not to acquiesce to Gov. Sean Parnell’s massive oil tax giveaway.

Joe Thomas and Joe Paskvan are part of that coalition. Let’s keep them working for us.

I’m voting for Joe Paskvan and Scott Kawasaki. They’re the two candidates in my district who will make good decisions for all Alaskans.
