FAIRBANKS — The deadline to apply for big game drawing and Tier I and Tier II subsistence permits is 5 p.m. on Monday.
Starting this year, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game will accept only online applications. Go to the hunting section of the ADF&G website (www.hunt.alaska.gov) and click on the “Buy licenses and tags” link and follow the instructions. Information regarding drawing hunt permits is available through the highlights section of the hunting page, including frequently asked questions and drawing supplements. Applicants must have a valid 2012 hunting license to apply.
A telephone help line is available for hunters who do not have internet access. Applicants can call 907-267-2895 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 17. It takes about 15-20 minutes to apply by phone. Callers should have the hunt number, payment method and hunting license in hand when calling.
The list of permit winners will be made available online at 5 p.m. on Feb. 15.
