FAIRBANKS — Calypso Farm and Ecology Center will host its 12th annual Benefit Dinner and Auction Saturday at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the local harvest celebration and benefit will feature a 99 percent locally grown meal (all but the olive oil, butter and cream for the coffee), with live dinner music by musicians from Zingaro Roots band. Dinner tickets are $20, with children ages 5 and younger eating free.

A live auction at 5 p.m., will feature items and unique services donated by nearly 200 local businesses, artists and crafts people, and will include a farm-themed “rap” performance to bid on.

All proceeds will benefit Calypso’s educational program throughout the Fairbanks community. For more information, call 451-0691.
