ASUAF to host state candidate forums

FAIRBANKS — The Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks plan to host three candidate forums for state Senate and House elections.

The first forum, from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 21, will feature Sens. John Coghill and Joe Thomas, who are candidates for Senate District A, and Reps. Bob Miller and Tammie Wilson, who are candidates for House District 2.

Candidates for Senate District C, Click Bishop and Anne Sudkamp, will face off from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 27, as will Pete Higgins and David Watts, who are candidates for House District 5. The forum from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 1, will feature candidates for Senate District B, Pete Kelly and Sen. Joe Paskvan, as well as candidates for House District 4, David Pruhs and Scott Kawasaki.

The foums will be at the Schaible Auditorium.
