Another tragedy

To the editor:

My heart aches because of  the senseless tragedy in Connecticut. The government should be held accountable. The greed-infested government and gun manufacturers care little to nothing about the tragedies that constantly occur in this country.

The moral decay of the country is mostly a result of the government being more willing to pay the child services people money to break up families and place children with strangers, such as child care, rather than paying the family to keep them together. How insane is this? The welfare system doesn’t pay anywhere near what the government pays their so-called child services people, child care providers and adoptive parents to rip families apart and cause massive trauma to the children. I doubt the children or parents for that matter ever recover from this.

The government breeds contempt and social ills daily. As long as the government continues to line their pockets with blood money, life in America will continue to decay.

If the government really wants to do something for the people of this country, start with eliminating the greed. Do some real good instead of keeping your collective heads in the sand. Free mental health services should be offered to anyone who wants it. I’m sure this won’t happen because the doctors have their own lobby so that they can continue to get paid huge money to live in their fancy mansions and drive their fancy cars. I guess that’s more important than the safety of families in our nation.

The overpaid media doesn’t help either. The story will die after a few days instead of staying in the headlines and pressuring the government to take real action. The media has its own lobby. I wonder where the lobby for those innocent children is.
