ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A 29-year-old Anchorage man has been charged in federal court with assaulting a federal agent.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Lamar Joseph Facine also is charged with being a felon in possession of three firearms. He was ordered held until trial on Jan. 14.

Facine previously was convicted in June 2008 in federal court of distributing drugs and was sentenced to more than four years in prison.

The indictment says Facine on Oct. 29 assaulted a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent.

He's charged with possessing a .12-gauge shotgun, a .40-caliber pistol and a 9mm pistol with an obliterated serial number.
