ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A bouncer at Rumrunners in downtown Anchorage, as well as the corporation that owns the bar, are facing assault charges.

Anchorage police says the charges stem from an incident that occurred at Rumrunners in October of 2011.

Police received a call from a man who said his intoxicated friend had been handcuffed and taken to the basement by a squad of bouncers. The man told police he feared that his friend might be mistreated.

When police arrived, they said they found that 26-year-old Johnny Brown had injuries to his face consistent with having been assaulted.

A grand jury indicted 39-year-old Murville L. Lampkins on an assault charge. AB&M Enterprises Inc. also was charged with assault, tampering with evidence and falsifying business records.
