JUNEAU, Alaska - The ranks of registered voters have grown in all Alaska political parties since the August primary.

Division of Elections data shows the biggest bloc of voters, by far, remains nonpartisan or unaffiliated. That bloc gained nearly 5,300 registered voters between Aug. 3 and Oct. 12, when the division's database was last updated.

The Aug. 3 update was the most recent before the Aug. 28 primary.

The Democratic party gained about 1,200 registered voters and the Republican party nearly 2,800.

The Alaskan Independence Party added 227 voters, according to the division's database, and the state Libertarian party, 19.

The general election will be held Nov. 6.
