ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Republican Party of Alaska will have new leadership after the fall election.
The Anchorage Daily News (http://bit.ly/JnpLB9) reports supporters of presidential hopeful Ron Paul over the weekend successfully put forward a candidate to replace retiring party Chairman Randy Ruedrich at the state GOP convention in Anchorage.
Ruedrich will be replaced by Chairman-elect Russ Millette.
Ruedrich has led the party since 2000 and did not seek another term.
He will remain in the post until after the November election.
