ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Hank is a moose with a story.

The giant stuffed ungulate sits inside the Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall on a wheeled metal stand. He is waiting for tourists who will sit on his saddle to get their picture taken before a snowy spruce backdrop. Tourists don't know what locals do: people don't take rides on a live moose.

The Anchorage Daily News (http://is.gd/wkrNOg ) reports there's something that even the locals don't know about Hank. His body comes from a bull moose, but his head comes from a cow. No one wanted to part with a bull moose trophy. Hank's antlers are attached to his skull with a steel rod.
